- On February 9, 2023, showrunner Terence Winter exited the series ahead of season two, with sources believing it was due to creative differences. He and Taylor Sheridan had different ideas for the trajectory of the first season and the main character.[2]
- As of February 22, 2023, Martin Starr hadn't heard anything about the series returning for filming, and believed the writers hadn't written the scripts yet.[3]
