The Tulsa King Wiki

The Invernizzi Crime Family is a fictional organized crime family from the Paramount+ series, Tulsa King. Their base of operations is in New York City, New York.

History[]

The Invernizzi family was headed by Pete "The Rock" invernizzi with Dwight "the General" Manfredi as a top capo. 25 years ago, Pete accidentally killed a man who owed money to the family and Dwight had to take the blame, causing him to be imprisoned for 25 years. Without Dwight's skills and acumens, the Invernizzi businesses started to go downhill. To matter worse, Pete was paranoid that Dwight gonna flip on the family for reduced sentences so he orchestrated Dwight's assassination in the prison.

Season 1[]

When Dwight is released from prison, Charles "Chickie" Invernizzi, the new underboss, and Pete Invernizzi, the family's boss, come up with the idea to banish Dwight to Tulsa to set up shop. They impose a weekly cut of the profits, starting with $5,000, as a condition of his operation. As Dwight's business begins to thrive in Tulsa, the family grows increasingly interested in taking a larger share of his success. However, Dwight, fed up with their mistreatment and Pete's betrayal during his time in prison, ultimately renounces his loyalty to the Invernizzi family. Chickie, driven by his resentment of Dwight and his father's favoritism, eventually kills Pete to seize control of the family and becomes the new Don of the family.

In Tulsa, Dwight forms an unconventional crew, including a marijuana dispensary owner, Bodhi, and a taxi driver, Tyson, who becomes his driver. Despite being in unfamiliar territory, Dwight quickly establishes dominance, leveraging his old-school mafia tactics.

As Dwight expands his operation, he faces threats from various sides: rival criminals in Tulsa, local law enforcement led by ATF agent Stacy Beale (who also has a complicated personal connection to Dwight), and the Invernizzi family's attempts to control him.

The finale leaves Dwight at a crossroads, having severed ties with his former family but now entrenched in a new and volatile criminal empire in Tulsa. The stakes are higher than ever as Dwight grapples with his newfound freedom and the enemies he’s made along the way. Dwight also recruits family consigliere Goodie Carangi to his own crew, leaving Chickie in an even more frustrated state.

At the end of season 1, Dwight is arrested.

Season 2[]

In season 2 Vince Antonacci - a loyal capo to Chicke, overthrows him and becomes the new boss, due to Chickie's inability to treat his men good and create a profit for the family. To move Chickie aside, Vince convened with high-ranking members of New York's other four families, including Ralphie Casasanta, Ernie Anastasio, Raymond Altieri, and Jumbo Ciampa. During their discussion, they addressed Chickie's temperamental outbursts and his failure to generate revenue for the family. The meeting concluded with a consensus to sideline Chickie, with each member agreeing to propose the idea to their respective bosses. Later on Chickie is invited to a sitdown at the Sons of Napoli Social Club, where he meets with New York boss Fat Jimmy, Vince and his two capos - Johnny The Zip and Nicky D. At the sitdown Fat Jimmy tells Chickie that he is being moved aside and that Vince is the new boss of the family. Chickie doesn't take it lightly and the sitdown ends in him spitting on the table and leaving the social club.

Vince then demands Chickie to go to Tulsa to demand Dwight to re-submit to him. Chickie persuades Dwight to join force to take down Vince and work under him again while ruling Tulsa but he refuses and threatens to kill him if he does not leave for good. Later on Chickie gets shot in the head and dies, by the hand of the Kansas City Mafia boss Bill Bevilaqua.

As of season 2, the current head of the family is Vince Antonacci, controlling the family with his top capos Johnny The Zip and Nicky D.
